My photographs won't load, whats wrong?
Your photograph is too big and will need to be reduced in size. Typically, modern digital camera's take photographs that are way too big for web sites. There are plenty of web sites were you you can resize your photos free. We use www.resize2mail.com
How do I pay for registration?
Registration on this holiday home site is FREE but when appropriate we use an on-line company called PayPal. When required, you will be directed to the PayPal web site so that you can pay. If you already have an account with them you mearly login and agree to pay the required sum.You don't need a PayPal account to make payments. Here's what PayPal say "For new buyers, signing up for a PayPal account is now optional. This means your customers can complete their payments first, and then decide whether to save their information in a PayPal account for future purchases. The checkout is more convenient, resulting in more completed sales and satisfied customers."
Are there any hidden costs or charges?
No. We pay your PayPal transaction fees and in most cases, the VAT as well.
Is this Council House Exchange site?
No. This site is only for home owners.
How much commission do you take from each home listed?
We do not take a commission when your home is exchanged. All our charges, when appropriate, are 'up front' and made on a weekly basis.
What is the Short Description?
This is a little piece of text that will appear on the thumbnail and can be seen by everyone, registered or not, when they browse the site. This is your chance to make 'your' property really stand out against all the others so make it punchy and accurate! The full description of the property is entered later.
If I make a mistake on the home details, can I change it later?
Yes. You can change anything except your name and address as often as you like. There is no charge for doing this so you can keep working on it until you feel you have it right.
Can I give you some feedback on details I see or homes I look at?
We are certainly working on giving you the chance to give some feedback on your activities but for the moment, its not available. Coming soon!
I have found a home I would like to look at, what do I do next?
The first thing to do is to contact the owner through this site to book an appointment to view the property. All arrangements will then be made by the home owner.
My digital photograph is too big for your site, what can I do?
This web site will only allow digital photgraphs up to 200mb in size. You can either try to reduce the size yourself with your own software or you can link to www.resize2mail.com where you will find a handy tool.
